The Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series Southern California switches its upcoming March 10th race from its new Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park to Glen Helen Raceway. The June 9th race originally slated for Glen Helen Raceway will be moved to the highly touted Lake Elsinore track.

Considered by many the modern day icon of short course off-road racing, Carl Renezeder rallies toward victory against a stacked field of competitors, which has landed him onto the podium and into an onslaught of championships that has made him into the iconic face man of the two major brands he represents. He is the Lucas Oil and General Tire dynasty, delivering dominating wins as well as championships in Pro 4 Unlimited and Pro 2 Unlimited truck classes.

Standing second in the 2011 SuperLite Championship points chase and upholding the honor of the third generation FUNCO Motorsports legacy, Chad George charges down into the dirt of Glen Helen Raceway for Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 5 and 6 action with a formidable home track advantage and as the face man for the tracks tremendous versatility as a motorsports venue. To commemorate the life of action sports star and SuperLite Championship racer Jeff "Ox" Kargola, who died last month while riding the Rip To The Tip adventure motorcycle ride in Baja, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, in conjunction with General Tire, the title sponsor of Kargola's SuperLite truck, will launch its two-day race weekend at Glen Helen Raceway with a special opening ceremony to begin at 2 p.m this Saturday. The SuperLite Championship Round 5 main event will immediately follow the tribute.

Wyatt Kirchner stepped up from the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Modified Kart ranks and into the hot seat of a SuperLite truck in late 2010, going full time for the 2011 as one of the youngest series drivers and managing to maintain formidable rankings in the series points chase.

Starting deep in the pack for the final Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series race of the 2010 season and trading paint with drivers who were waging all they had to earn the SuperLite Championship Series crown, but Kyle LeDuc managed to muscle his SoCal SuperTrucks / Rockwell Time truck through the mayhem, foisting his way toward the front. And shortly after the competition yellow unleashed the army of MazdaSpeed Rotary Renesis 13B machines, LeDuc launched into the lead and landed atop the podium.

It's tough to find anyone from the Road & Track Magazine staff looking to get dirty. And sure, behind the wheel of some of the fastest cars on the planet, one might say they're accustomed to flying. But in reality, it wasn't until ace journalist Jonathan Elfalan strapped into the seat of a SuperLite Championship truck, that the figure of speech truly earned its wings and dirt became the right of passage to the thrill fest of airborne adrenaline junkies.

That's the man behind the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. What's Tony Vanillo up to? Well, we were wondering the very same thing. And we were shocked, honored and sincerely grateful to hear the latest addition to the LOORRS hardware stockpile and the thoughtfulness behind it. Tony commissioned a highly sophisticated podium to be built. Equipped with a wheel chair friendly ramp and hydraulic lifts for each of the three positions, LOORRS custom-built this one-of-a-kind podium with SoCal SuperTrucks SuperLite driver Ricky James in mind, who is no stranger to victory.

Horsepower was virtually a birthright for Dawson Kirchner. With drag racers on both sides of the family tree and a stepfather who has dominated off-road racing, it was only a question of which vehicle’s throttle 17-year-old Dawson would be pegging, and what surface would accommodate his need for speed. After learning to race on go-karts, and a stint in motocross racing, Dawson has found a home in the cockpit of a SuperLite truck, as one of the emerging young stars of Speed Technologies on the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series.

Determined, fearless, and unstoppable are three of many words used when Chad Leising is spoken of in the off-road world. Chad is about as grassroots as it gets, but his story isn't one you'd expect. Unlike many of his competitors who come from generations of racing, Chad grew up playing community sports and didn't step foot in the desert or even own a dirt bike until his later years in high school.

The thrash-style driving that exemplifies the pro-packed echelon of SuperLite Championship Arrive & Drive drivers kicked up the ante when $10,000 was tossed into the competition pit for Friday evening's SuperLite Grill N' Thrill Challenge race. The Metal Mulisha General, Brian Deegan, gave the order and as the door-to-door action funneled into the last lap for the checkered flag, his hard core freestyle motocross star Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg broke loose of the pack in his Metal Mulisha / Rockstar Energy Drink truck and piled the cash atop the podium.

Twitch piloted the No. 88 Metal Mulisha / Rockstar Energy Drink SuperLite Championship Truck around the 1.1-mile off-road race course in one minute and 16 seconds with a speed of 51.436 miles per hour.

Launching into the action for the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 7 and 8 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah was Speed Technologies driver Dawson Kirchner, who clinched the fastest lap of the weekend's first practice session on Friday for the Super Lite Championship series. Dawson traversed the 1.1-mile off-road race course in one minute and 16 seconds with an average speed of 51.793 miles per hour in his lap five effort and was able to pull a 1.732-second gap on the pack.

Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series announced that the August 7th and 8th, Southern California event, will be held at the legendary Glen Helen Raceway. The landmark facility in San Bernardino, California, has an extensive history of off road and motocross racing while hosting a multitude of national and international events.

There's no doubt. Lucas Oil is going big. It's shelling out $15 million in advertising to catapult MavTV into even greater acclaim amid the national broadcast television arena. And for guys ranging from 18-49 years old, it's going to be a huge hit. Why? Because it's television for men.
