Undoubtedly one of the best shows of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series' showdown in the dirt, the SuperLite Championship has unveiled some epic short course action from a colorful collection of personalities, giving the stadium truck a life and style all its its own. Heading into Surprise, the BFGoodrich Tires-backed Patrick Clark had proved himself by racking up a nine-point lead in his championship quest. But the full-course brawl of Arizona cut down Clark's rank, delivering another series standout to the lead.

Beginning at the age of 12 in motocross, Johnny Greaves has won races and championships in every level of competition. At 23, he switched to four wheels and soon earned success while buggy racing in SCORE off-road desert and SODA short-course off-road series (the precursor to Championship Off Road Racing - CORR).

Wyatt Kirchner rose from a stacked 15-truck SuperLite Championship field to take Sunday's victory, for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 8 race on the nine-tenths-mile Miller Motorsports Park race track in Tooele, Utah on June 26, 2011. Emerging from a family steeped in motorsports, Jessie Johnson is the younger brother of five-time NASCAR champion of the No. 48 Lowes Home Improvement car, Jimmie Johnson. Calm under pressure and climbing behind the wheel of his own Lowes Home Improvement SuperLite, Jessie, like his older brother, has his roots in off-road racing but has amassed experience that extends beyond the dirt. Perhaps his greatest asset is his coach-ability, learning from many, which results in wins.

Patrick Clark remembers the day his racing career went off road. The 20-year-old, who cut his teeth racing go-karts and then moved into drag racing, climbed into the cockpit of SuperLite truck piloted by off-road legend Chuck Dempsey. And at some point on that Salt Lake City track in the summer of 2010, with dirt flying and horsepower humming beneath his feet, Clark became a SuperLite racer.

C.J. Greaves is an emerging Monster Energy-backed athlete who stems from one of most winning short course off-road racers of all time, Johnny Greaves. Because of this, there's no wonder why the momentum he's gained in such a short amount of time has landed him onto the podium in the TORC Series Super Buggy class as well behind the wheel of his very own Monster Energy / Traxxas SuperLite Championship truck , logging a hard-fought victory at Miller's Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah amidst the best in the off-road racing business.

A lifelong enthusiast of off-road motorsports, Marty Fiolka raced his first Baja 1000 in 1992 and recently completed his 10th race. A graduate of University of California at Long Beach, he formed the Rennsport Marketing Group in 1995 and executed public relations programs for Nissan, Infiniti, Exxon, Mitsubishi, and SCORE International. In 2005, Fiolka authored “1000 Miles to Glory: The History of the Baja 1000,” and was the associate producer of Dust to Glory, a Baja documentary.

The stage was set this weekend for Ricky Jamesto make his off-season claims a reality by piloting his SoCal SuperTrucks SuperLite towards a winning sweep, but that was not to be at Rounds 1 and 2 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
