As we geared up for the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 13 and 14 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, we were busy behind the scenes working with our friends at the 3D television channel, Wealth TV, which produced an indepth feature on the SuperLite Championship Arrive & Drive program for its Wealth On Wheels segment. The segment, hosted by Josh Middleton, who hops behind the wheel of a SuperLite, delves into the history of thriving truck racing operation and delivers a behind-the-scenes look into the lives and lifestyles of the racers and race organization.

Patrick Clark remembers the day his racing career went off road. The 20-year-old, who cut his teeth racing go-karts and then moved into drag racing, climbed into the cockpit of SuperLite truck piloted by off-road legend Chuck Dempsey. And at some point on that Salt Lake City track in the summer of 2010, with dirt flying and horsepower humming beneath his feet, Clark became a SuperLite racer.

The SuperLite Championship crew kicked the throttle into action for the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Expo with Chuck Dempsey jumping behind the wheel of SuperLite No. 1 and delivering a full-throttle performance for the KTLA Channel 5 morning show. While the two jumps on the makeshift off-road race course made for a killer show, watching the SuperLite slide into a four-wheel drift was insane. Rather than kicking up the usual roost of dirt, Dempsey delivered Formula Drift-style parade of smoke and shredded tires.

Horsepower was virtually a birthright for Dawson Kirchner. With drag racers on both sides of the family tree and a stepfather who has dominated off-road racing, it was only a question of which vehicle’s throttle 17-year-old Dawson would be pegging, and what surface would accommodate his need for speed. After learning to race on go-karts, and a stint in motocross racing, Dawson has found a home in the cockpit of a SuperLite truck, as one of the emerging young stars of Speed Technologies on the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series.

Chuck Dempsey has commanded some of the most prestigious victories in off-road racing history. His resume on the throttle and in the management slot has earned an earnest array of championships. He has won in trucks and buggies. He has triumphed aboard underdog privateer teams and on behalf of factory motorcycle teams.

Chad Leising racked up a SuperLite Championship victory during the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 9 race at the .99-mile Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona on October 18, 2009. With his win, Leising ended the two-race win streak of Ricky James, who finished second, piloting the SoCal SuperTrucks machine. Dawson Kirchner drove his Speed Technologies truck to a third, while teammate Chuck Dempsey earned the fast lap of the race with an elapsed time of 54.485 seconds and speed of 65.412 miles per hour, finishing fourth for his race day in the dirt.

Ricky James, on a three-race win streak in as many race as he's entered in his SuperLite career, raced the SoCal SuperTrucks machine to a SuperLite Championship victory during the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 9 race at the .99-mile Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona on October 17, 2009. Once again, James earned the fast lap of the race for the second time in a row with an elapsed time of 1 minute, 00.776 seconds and speed of 58.642 miles per hour. James dominated the race, delivering the win with over an 11-second gap over the competition. Dawson Kirchner captured second in his Speed Technologies race truck. Speed Technologies teammate and Baja 1000 champion, Chuck Dempsey, landed onto the third slot for his podium performance.

Chad Leising raced his truck to a SuperLite Championship victory during 2009 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 4 truck racing at the .99-mile Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona on May 3, 2009 at 4 p.m. John Harrah manoeuvered his Speed Technologies-backed truck through the pack to earn second. Chuck Dempsey, who earned the fast lap for the race with a speed of 53.853 miles per hour and time of 1 minute and 6.180 seconds, drove his Speed Technologies truck to the third slot upon the podium.

Johnny Harrah powered his Speed Technologies truck to a SuperLite Championship victory during 2009 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 3 truck racing at the .99-mile Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona on May 2, 2009 at 4 p.m. Johnny Harrah, in his second consecutive SuperLite win, raced his SuperLite truck to the fast lap of the race in lap 13 with a speed of 54.396 miles per hour and time of 1 minute and 5.520 seconds. John Harrah secured second in his Speed Technologies truck. Brandon Bailey drove his truck to a third.
