SuperLite Championship mourns the loss of fellow racer and champion Rick Huesman. In support of his beloved wife and two-year-old son, SuperLite is donating two Off Road Race School sessions with Ricky Johnson valued at $3,000 a piece to the Rick Huseman Memorial Fundraiser this evening. The silent auction takes place this evening at Pole Position Raceway in Corona, California at 6 p.m to 9 p.m. We encourage you to attend and contribute to the memory of a true champion.

As we geared up for the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 13 and 14 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, we were busy behind the scenes working with our friends at the 3D television channel, Wealth TV, which produced an indepth feature on the SuperLite Championship Arrive & Drive program for its Wealth On Wheels segment. While riding with friends and family just north of San Felipe, Baja California last Friday for the annual Desert Assassins Rip To The Tip adventure ride, SuperLite Championship driver, Jeff "Ox" Kargola of the No. 2 General Tire truck, died at a San Felipe hospital after succumbing to injuries sustained during a dirt bike crash on a high speed whoop section. “Words can’t express the emotions I am feeling," said Desert Assassins boss and former SuperLite Championship driver Cameron Steele. "I love Jeff like a son, and he was riding with all of his best friends he grew up with in San Clemente.”

Building into a powerful motorsports crescendo, the 2010 SuperLite Championship Series funneled down into the finale at the Firebird International Raceway for the season-ending Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series showdown. It was decision day in the dirt. And with an army of world class extreme sports competitors vying for the coveted SuperLite Championship No. 1 plate, a scant 50 points separating the top five, a battle ensued upon the motocross style off-road truck track, and from the mayhem of the competition mosh pit, Rockstar Metal Mulisha’s Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg emerged to snatch the championship, beating out some of the best in the business.

Ricky James jumped into the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) Round 5 and Round 6 weekend by earning the top slot in Friday's practice at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. Charging hard to rival the competition by over two seconds in qualifying time, James piloted his SoCal Super Trucks machine to fast lap in lap three, touting an average speed of 51.064 miles per hour and a time of 1 minute, 17 seconds upon the 1.1 mile off-road race course.

With standard SuperLite truck frontrunner Ricky James out with a concussion following a shunt in practice Saturday morning, it was Brian Deegan in the #38 Rockstar / Metal Mulisha machine who took the lead and never let loose.
